To answer you Guyladouce, it has 3 different endings but they're mainly 3 different colored explosions with the exception of one of the options has a surprise if you have a certain 'readiness'.

It has been theorized that this is not the real ending and that a free DLC will be coming out in April that will definitively answer all the questions and give a REAL ending. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

That's weird, because the ME3 wiki on IGN begs to differ.

http://www.ign.com/wikis/mass-effect-3/Endings

I see at least 7 different endings.

There's a way to do this but this isn't it. Things on BSN have been civil as of late but this might set us back a bit. If anything from this though, it shows some people take games seriously now like others do with books, movies and TV. Mass Effect 3 might have been what helps to shatter that barrier between people seeing games as nothing more than toys and folks who see them for the true, interactive medium they are and what they can possibly aspire to be.

This is exactly what we need to understand. If I buy something physical and it doesn't work as advertisements led us to believe, then I file a complaint and get my money back. This is exactly the same.

If you want to push the subjects, the interviews are advertisements if they are done by people working within the company. Those people speak for the company as long as they are employed. If the business that employees them doesn't like that they can either fire them or do a public press conference.

Honestly, if you had representatives from Sony/Microsoft/Apple or any other company that pushes a real product you would expect the same. If they go out and say something and then after release you find out it isn't fully functional, you really should get something back.

Just because this is a non-physical product does not change how you the consumer should have rights. You expect features, the ending is a dang big feature. If you were told that there are multiple endings and got 1, wouldn't you feel cheated? Even if it has "variations", the fact that the same main plot points happen at each ending suggest that all you change is the sub text of the plot. So there are no real actual endings, just different dialogs for the same ending? I would be pissed. Especially since today we are reaching a point where video games are incorporating the storyline that much.

I haven't played ME3 but as consumers were getting screwed by these tactics. We've been given the same bs for what, 5 years now? All because of stagnation and profit gains? Honestly ME2 was great but I don't know if I'll play ME3 because of how much better it should have been. We are at a time where we aren't just paying for a game, we are paying for an experience.

LOLOL, did you just say free DLC? That's putting a lot of trust in EA and Bioware considering the entire game is designed to make money from DLC.

We all know about your love affair with EA and bioware. I don't need to explain again why I don't need to play the game to judge it. Demo's, twitch.tv, youtube, reviews, friends who have played it and that confirm criticisms. The game sucks and I don't plan on giving any more of my money to EA or Bioware.

Furthermore, if you are trying to discredit me because I havent played the game then you would be a hypocrite considering you told me to watch DLC on youtube to make up for not buying it or experiencing it.

Still different endings. Are all of the possible endings exactly the same? No--in that case you can't cry foul that there aren't different endings, because there are. In one possible ending, earth is destroyed. In another, earth lives. In another...so on and so forth... Not the same hence multiple endings. It's a losing case.

I said theorized and the theory didn't come from me so calm down.

And if you had actually played the game you'd know that there are a TON of subtle hints that the endings presented right now are not real.

LOL my love affair with EA? Child, stop. Just a year ago I was OCN's premier Steam fanboy and now I'm an EA fanboy? lol.

I have an extreme dislike for EA dating back to when they bought Bullfrog and mothballed the Syndicate IP. I have an extreme dislike of Origin and think it's spying on me but I've given then a chance since they've directly addressed my concerns but I don't trust them to any length

Now I DO love the Mass Effect series but that doesn't mean i can't try to be objective, which you and many others seem to have trouble doing. You know, how you profess to know more about ME 3 than people who have actually played it. Your entire hate of ME 3 derives from 3rd hand stories and this is not the 1st, 2nd or 3rd time you've refused to explain a single reason why you don't like the game ( but i didn't bring that up, you did ).

I still see your reading comprehension needs work. I've already explained this to you but you've chosen to ignore my explanation in the hopes that it gives you a point to argue on the forums.

Long story short, i told you to watch the DLC on youtube to get filled in on the new plot points, not to experience the game. That was in response to you crying about how ME 2's DLC forwarded the plot and you felt left out. Then you flip-flopped and cried about any DLC that DOESNT forward the plot. You simply don't know what you want and you're lashing out like a child because the game didn't match your expectations.

What? So your admiting here that the full game is not available right now and that we are paying for an incomplete experience. This is the very essence of every single one of my comments regarding ME3, and here you are backing me up. ME3 is an incomplete experience that will be completed with DLC, ME3 as a game is a platform for DLC. Those subtle hints you talk about, those are hints for upcoming DLC, which will not be free.

You seem to be spending an awful lot of time defending their game for how much you say you hate them for the above reasons. If ME3 was a worthwhile game you would be playing it instead of having to defend it constantly on a forum.

On top of all the third hand experience I am also a long time fan of the series and have invested my time and money into ME1 and ME2. Playing the ME3 demo would also be considered first hand experience in my books.

Let's not go down the "I'm refusing to explain why I don't like the game" crap, if you know how to read then you should be able to figure that out.

Like I already said, you can't go around telling people to watch DLC on youtube to experience it one moment and then tell someone that third hand experience is not relevant the next. Thats the very defenition of "hypocrite." If you don't want to be a hypocrite then I suggest you stop doing this.

Well, no. Actually that's not even close to what I said. You're the one who needs to work on your reading comprehension. For the sake of the uninformed I will reitterate what I said:

ME3 is a DLC platform, it is a game designed to make money from planned DLC. This is different from other publishers who make money from releasing content complete games and then making expantion packs after the fact. The game you buy is not complete. You say I don't understand game development? I say that argument not valid on multiple fronts, least of which are all the other publishers and developers who don't rely on planned DLC and who don't release sub-par games, or lie to their customers.

I never even came close to claiming that DLC does NOT forward the plot, that's what it is designed to do and that's part of buying into the EA/Bioware business model of playing games. Want the rest of the plot? Pay money for DLC because if you expect a complete game your an entitled PC elitist.

I see at least 7 different endings.

so basically to get the best ending, youre forced to grind multiplayer? what if people dont have an internet connection, or they dont want to play MP? and if you dont play MP, youre supposed to grind for forever to get enough war assets. This is dumb. why not a ME2 system, if you get people loyal you get a great ending. if not, you get a bad ending.
