Best CPU cooler for under $100 - Page 4

Lol - it might well do (interrupt). However I'm pretty sure that you will notice large differences in temps on the H70 if you are using it as an exhaust and you change top fans to intake or add a side intake near the radiator. LARGE differences. That's why I run my Kuhler 620 radiator in my empty 5.5" drive bays as an intake in push-pull. My 2500k at sig-rig clocks/volts hits a maximum of like 62 degreesC (I believe) in Intelliburn Test with the AVX extentions and using Thermalright/Thermaltake (?) TG1 paste, since I couldn't get MX4 at the time, nor find any IC available quickly. That's pretty damn good, leaving me a bucket load of headroom, which I will abuse as soon as my RAM returns from RMA and I can continue my overclock.

Yep, it was set to enhaust, and my case isn't operating with positive pressure right now. Regardless of cooler, I am sure switching the top fans to intake and having them blow right on or near the cpu cooler will help drastically. That may have been why it seemed like it sucked. Regardless, this cooler would still outperform it. I have some fan experimenting to do I guess. Might be able to help my new cooler out even more.

whats wrong with XSPC Rasa 750 RS240 Universal CPU Water Cooling Kit 117.21$ much better performer the H1oo which is for 120$ or 110$ headscratch.gif

That's a wiser choice, though a more invested prospect regarding time, energy, maintenance etc.

If the OP cannot find a closed loop cooler like the H80 or a high end aircooler for less than $70-80, then he should really just move to an XSPC Rasa kit, though I would double check that the 240mm Rad can fit in the roof, with fans, and not interfere with his motherboard.

Personally, as I said before, I would get an Antec Kuhler 620 when its really cheap on sale. I got mine for UK£32, that's about US$45 or so, and for that price it's unbeatable.
