I'm building a new gaming pc for under $2000 and I would like some advice and ratings on the current build I have. I'm a little stuck between two cases so that's what the A and B means. Any advice or suggestions are encourage and welcome. smile.gif

1A. case: CM x 942 Blue edition $210 1B. case: Nzxt switch 810 (white) $169

1A. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119239

1B. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811146088

2. CPU: i5 2500k $210

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115072

3. Mobo: Asus p8z68-v pro gen 3 $195

4. PSU: Corsair AX850 190$

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139015

5. GPU: Sapphire 7950 $470 I will most likely wait for the new Nvida Kepler

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102963

6. Memory G.Skill ripjaws X 8GB(2x4GB) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) 1.35 low voltage $48

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827135204

8. Cooling: XSPC rs360 water cooling kit $150, not sure but I might get the rx360 for $40 more

http://www.frozencpu.com/products/12222/ex-wat-162/XSPC_Rasa_750_RS360_Universal_CPU_Triple_Radiator_Water_Cooling_Kit_w_Free_Kill_Coil.html?tl=g30c83s137

9A. 1 200mm CM megaflow r4 for second top case fan $19 and 3 Enermax 120mm blue/red fans for push pull on radiator $50

so...its really only looks like you're deciding between cases and cooling...since CPU, Mobo, Ram, GPU, PSU are the same for both builds...

if u want my opinion, i've always liked white cases.

Go for the switch 810 and rx360 thumb.gif

Sorry for making it confusing and long but I wanted plenty of information. So if you could rate these builds it would be awesome, the only real difference between the two is the cases so which of them do you think is the best. Any changes or suggestions are encouraged and welcome biggrin.gif
you basically need Case CPU Mobo PSU GPU Memory ODD and cooling in 2ooo$ is it ??? what are you having in mind currently ??? the 810 is a large Case i know for sure but the Phantom is enough dont you think ??

I see no difference..asus z68 and 2500k w/corsair 850 is all i see.
For $2000.. x79 is what I would do WITH a 3930K

yea I realized a little too late that there are no real differences, I fixed the post to make it less confusing. Ok moving on, isn't a 3930k unnecessary for gaming? One could even argue that an 2600k is unnecessary due to it's performance differences with the 2500k

you're right. they are unnecessary. stick with the 2500k. or wait for the 3550.
