I think who ever diagnosed your bsod's as being caused by afterburner may have had false leads. If anything the video card would be shutting down to prevent damage. I'd try some more gradual overclocking and possibly make sure your PSU can handle what your doing.

Yea, I agree. EVGA percision is the program of the two that is known to cause problems with DirectX. MSI AfterBurner is a very solid program. What version did you use?

Bad overclock. You're looking further than you need to, the problems dancing in front of your face.

Hi m8.

I have a 460 as well anf use msi ab and never had a problem.

Can you please post std gpu setting and the ober clocked settings you are trying to do on your gpu. pls include voltages and then what psu are you useing

well yea maybe the overclock was causing afterburner to crash my computer, and he thought it was actually afterburner itself

Never had a problem with Afterburner. I run it on all my PC's, my mom and step dad's PC's along with any PC I build. Never had an issue with it. All my friends use it too thumb.gif

The vast majority of us use both Win 7 and AB... without issue.

Its most likely a bad OC or a bad driver. Id suggest as chmodlabs has stated.
