Highest Wattage Standard ATX Power Supply

Thread Starter
I just wanted to know what was the highest amount of rated wattage in a 160mm long power supply (ATX). It needs to be that long for a future water cooling project i'm planning (I'll make a build log if the idea ever comes to fruition).

I'm not sure how much power pumps and rads consume (can't be that much) but you should take into account how much power your critical components (CPU, GPU/s) will be pulling. I've seen an 850W PSU fuel two-way OCed GTX580s, OCed CPU and a few extra fans with plenty of extra headroom for WC.

Silverstone Strider Plus 1000W comes to mind (ST1000-P), but I don't think a Corsair AX850 would let you down either, unless you have something monstrous in the works.

Standard pumps use up to 35w on start up but 20w during use.

Rad use no power... they're just metal.

Generally, fans use 2-6w each.
Once again...

I'm probably thinking of closed WC like the H100 that have fans on the rads.
