why has my card been deactivated? its still under warrenty and i can get a refund to get a different card. should i send in for refund to get the msi 570 twin frozr3? is there something wrong with my card?

it's been deactivated because they're prepping to release the Kepler cards and no reason to keep making their 14 versions of the gtx 570. This has nothing to do with your card (kinda how Core 2 Duos are deactivated... they just don't make them anymore)

didnt know this card was so old. but it should keep me in the game for a few yrs still i guess

It's not so old. It's the fact that since the new cards are coming out and for some reason EVGA makes 13 versions of the GTX 570, it's smarter for them to just make 1 or 2 versions of the 570 with their remaining chips and convert the rest of their resources to making the Kepler chips. I mean... the 500 series did come out October 2010...
