GTX 460 Afterburner overclock questions

Thread Starter
i have a couple questions, where can i read about overclocking the Core Voltage safely? because if i am correct, it is required to raise that to be able to go through with a higher Core Clock overclock

i don't want to screw anything up so i want to take precautions and with care, any info will be appreciated.

also, what's a good Memory clock overclock? it's been a while since i studied on this topic, i kind of left it where it was before, now i want to push farther smile.gif

and any extra information on Memory Clock-overclocking is also appreciated, or a link

hopefully a link that is easy to understand, i'm not very experienced in this area, but i do know a bit.

thanks

2000-2200 memory overclock is good, my Video card has 2000mhz at 900 core at stock voltage (1.01v) and is 100% stable smile.gif Core clock is where most performance is had tho from my experience with Overclocking my 460 i saw no real performance gain with Memory only overclock. i could be missing something tho. biggrin.gif

the 460 has a voltage limiter which i think is ethier taken care of via bios flash or volt modding, just keep the temps in check and don't go beyond 1.2v

that's the thing, i don't know what the voltage is, it only shows it as: lowerst as -100 then in the middle 0 then at max +100

how do i make it display the actual voltage number?

first b4 we do anything.....

#1: have you messed around in the bios for the gpu settings or is it still on auto / 100?

#2: if you got teamviewer let me know i can remote and help you out.

#3: for the moment lets not go over 1.1 volts and high OC;s as we need to make sure you gou is still alright with all the messing around that you have done - just keeping it safe for the moment.
