IP blockers and TOR for a Gamer?

Thread Starter
Is using IP blockers and/or Tor to protect your computer from Identity thieves smart or paranoid? I have had my credit card information stolen once online, which is odd because I had top of the line anti virus AND NO PORN ON THE PC; plus I was smart about what and where I bought stuff from. But is using something like that over kill, paranoid or perfectly normal?

Overkill and bad for gaming, TOR introduces massive latency, you can't game effectively with it.

As for your credit card info, by far the weakest link in your system is you. Don't shop non reputable websites. Also, lol porn doesn't result in getting your credit card info stolen.
