uh oh, i was at 65c (1090T)

Thread Starter
i am worried because i saw my max load was 65c just now

i haven't overclocked my CPU for a long time, and back then i must of let it alone at that OC

is this really bad? i hear 62c is max, and 55c is ideal

but i was at 65c!!!

do you think i damaged it? i see no signs of anything going wrong, but yea

can someone shed more light on this topic, of how harmful this was/is on my cpu?

i'll immediately adjust it better with your help

thanks

What are you using to monitor the temps? I saw mine go all crazy high once, although mine is an unlocked 960T

Is it running ok now? If so, your probably ok, you wouldve noticed something by now im sure

CPUID Hardware Moniter

i sure hope this program just shows it as a high temp, higher than it really is, i remember reading something about that but not sure

cause i want to raise it up but its pretty hot at this low voltage

is there a better program? or one that shows the exact true temp, in case this program doesn't?

If anything you shaved like 5 minutes off your CPU life. Unless you were running at 65C for several weeks constantly(24/7) I wouldn't worry.

Also, make sure you are looking at CORE temps, not the CPU temp. The CPU temp is the socket temperature.
