I was looking at either the RX120 or the MCR something rather. Kind of leaning towards the slimmer rad. Thanks all thumb.gif

It is indeed addicting.. just wait to actually have the space!!....your wallet will be lighter and you'll be wondering why

I'd love to wait for space, but my upgrade to a corsair 600t was my upgrade for space. Not only was i unable to mount a 240mm RAD at the top, i had to cut the wholoe front away....

WAIT... whilst writing this i have just realisedd, i have space for a top mounted SLIM 240mm rad... then have 2 fans in push, is that enough??? this is my setup atm.

450

My fans are a lil uncoordinated atm, and the fans have been changed directions i tested a few configs. They all blow in apart from 1 exhaust, but i also have another fan below the gfx atm.

Although i thought the EX240 by XSPC wsa a thin one, but its the same thickness as the RS240.

Anyone know of a 240 RAD that is good, that is <30mm ?? As i cant have anything thicker than that. I found 1, but cant find reviews on it. frown.gif

Depends on how loud you're willing to go with fans. The EX series prefers higher RPM than the RS series though you still aren't anywhere near high speed territory.
The EX is a better rad at over 1500rpm. You can expect similar results around 1200rpm.
I'd rather have the overhead that comes with the EX. I've got an EX240 with GT's at 75% and it's absolutely great.

EDIT: Ahh probably should have taken longer to read your post. doh.gif
You'll struggle to find much thinner than the RS or EX. The only rad I know of that's going really worthwhile at that thickness is a GT Stealth at 30mm exactly. Definitely worth looking at regardless if you're after a thinner rad as from what I've read it's great although unfortunately I haven't had any first hand experience with it.

I dont mind about loudness, i have some xigmatec fans not sure which ones rated at like 70CFM... Cant remember the decibles but i have them on 60%..

Yea i stuggled too, only one i found was of some unknown make that stealth one looks good! Just the lack of space up top is what makes me unsure whther to get a 240mm and have to end up sending it back! frown.gif Worth a go i guess.

+REP for your help though!

But it's the same size as my RS240 and that didn't fit cos of the processor power pins being located right at the top of the motherboard... It's a squeeze to fit a 25mm thick fan! frown.gif

I run my Xeon W3530 and GTX570 on a single RX360 and my temps are fine. I wouldn't expect amazing temps with a RS240 + RX120 but it should work just fine.

What about putting the fans or rad on the outside of the case so you can fit a 240mm?

The GT Stealth is 30 FPI, I'd think that ought to be able to dissipate at least as much as an RX240.
It's less than half the thickness and more than three times the FPI (7-8 for the RX). I'm pretty confident that would give it a larger surface area but I'm not a mathemagician.
This is all provided the Xigmatec fans are upto such a dense radiator.

A 240 GT Stealth and any 120 sounds pretty adequate.

Edit: Spelling and what not
