ok well i finaly got arround to looking at the bios to attempt to overclock...

i seen the bios and i got lost as.... well... cant be more lost than lost LOL

i kinda know about the nb/sb/ich but i dunno what volts to start out at..

and mem voltage.... well i got to figure out what mem i have first.. i know its a set of 2gb dual channel super talent ddr2 5300 and thats about it...

the package it came in has a sticker on it with the number "20-609-026(853988)" if i need to.. il take a stick out of the mobo... but im to lazy if i dont have to

ok um spread spectrum Oo whats that and the 2 pci thingys too oh and the fsb term voltage

basicaly im runing full load of 39C atm on stock voltages with aftermarket cooling... so id like to get that up to like maybe um 48C load?

if u could explain some of these terms to me.. im sure i can oc this thing... also need a few numbers like what volts to use

im not asking for a literal what settings to use to get the perfect oc... i just need to know where to begin with. and what not to push past...

hrm these http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820609085 look like my ram.. but mine came in a 2gb kit.

p.s. thanks for ur time

EDIT!!!! OMG!!! they gave me the right ram!!! they just used cheap heatsinks on it!!! i soo thought i got ripped like 100+$ LOL

u should see the smile on my face!!!!

well im geting some ocing in im at 2996mhz atm with 1.35vcore probaly to much vcore and like 45-50C load depending on room temp

but amazingly!!! guess how my ram handels ?

stock ram volts is 2.2 i have mine at 2.25 and have these babies runing at ddr2-1000!!! well. ok.. like 1 point lower than that with stock 4-4-3-8 timings!!! 16.875 seconds is my 1m super pi 16m 28.078s is my super pi 32m!!!! and it seems to be stable too i mean if it can do super pi 32m its stable right?

prime produces errors within like a few minutes O_o and that did that at like 100mhz over stock speeds

so what you guys think of my ram ? also are those temps about right? or should i reseat the hs?

NO those temps are great. I don't even know how u get those low temps at those speeds. My cpu I know is P4 it's like 40-60c temps usually load is like 50c but when i'm doing anysort of video transcoding or rippign it goes to 60c.
R u saying that this is ur cooler

If so THAT THING IS A FREEKIN BEAST! do u have a fan on it or is it passive. And how are you likeing the copperhead? i sure love it.

nope that aint it

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835185027 thats it

yea i love my mouse its great! still havent adjusted to the 2000dpi yet LOL

edit: i was hoping to get like 3.2/3.4/3.6 with this cooler.. but i dont wana have to go above the max stock volts... whats a resonable goal with 1.35Vcore? my ram wont bottleneck me... but what about my cpu/mobo?
