Can you help me make a choice please?

Hello,

I am going to buy a new cooler for my cpu so I need help making a choice; I want to to oc the CPU as soon as I get the cooler for this configuration: i7 950, msi Pro-e, 12GB 1600 mhz mushkin RAM, gtx 570, HAF 912. I am asking you to please take into consideration that the casing is a compact midi tower wink.gif. The plan is not complicated, I plan to push to 4ghz but am not certain if this is possible at all with air cooling + to remain as silent as possible. I have to following choices:

- Thermaltake CL-P0589 Flexi
- Noctua NH-C12P SE14
- Thermaltake CL-P0539
- CoolerMaster Hyper 612S
- Thermaltake CLP0554 CPU Cooler SpinQ VT

or if you want to take a closer look for yourself I'm considering (without regard to price) anything from the following link (http://www.pcberza.rs/komponente/hladjenje/402-0-0-0/q=1366) except the last two. Thanks in advance. smile.gif

Yup, looks nice - it even glows. smile.gif

Anyway, I found the Megahalems out of those Pontiac listed so I thinks I'll take it.

I have installed the Megahalems cooler however I'm uncertain which direction the fan should be facing: to the back of the housing (that's the logical direction, isn't it?) or to the front, to the cd-drive (when I look in the install manual it seems it is intended for the fan to be mounted forward). Can someone please clarify?

Uselly (and its by no means a rule, everyone likes theres different ways) u want to vent the air out the back of the case if it has a fan there. That way the heat from the cpu dosnt just get pushed around the case heating up other stuff

If theres only one fan it should be closer to the drives pushing air though the fins
