Leaving PC online gaming for Xbox 360 multiplayer cause of hacking. - Page 4

I've met a few hackers in my travels, but I just go to another server. I have a favorites list of about a dozen well-admined servers on BF3, and there are always a few of them full, usually with regulars. Just try to find some good servers, they are out there.

Hacking has always been there, and will always be there. These are games we are playing here, they are supposed to be fun. Don't sweat the small stuff.

Maybe you just don't like BF3 that much - there's nothing wrong with that. It takes more time to learn than any battlefield game to date. I would compare the learning curve with CS:S, where it could take many months or even years to greatly improve one's skills at the game. If you prefer playing the game in a casual way (albeit with nerfed graphics) than there's nothing wrong with that. No need to apologize.

You said:
Quote:
" I dont play on open terrain maps much so when someone gets a 30 kill to 1 death ratio on maps like Grand Bazaar and Metro of course, its cause they are cheating. If you can't see the logic that some guy joins a map and within 10 minutes the side he is on starts winning and hes got a stupid K/D ratio, then I dont have anymore explanations for you."
I think you're missing some of the intricacies and the possibilities of this game. If you witness a guy hacking that's one thing, but inferring from a score of 30 to 1 that a guy is cheating is simply irresponsible. I went 33 and 0 in Grand Bazaar once in a large fully populated server, sans hacks. Many APC kills and even a few knife kills. Many BF3 players have a similar story. I thanked my amazing team and squad mates for making it possible.

I think your rant is irresponsible as it promotes the idea of hacking and draws more attention to it (which is what hackers want) - in short they feed off the rage. If you're encountering loads of hackers, I would say first that it's probably your imagination, and second that it's related to your server selection. Some gamers are hypersensitive to the issue of hacking and simply like to blame others for their failures (often with heaps of denial) - these people also tend to externalize other parts of their lives (it's the economy, it's god, it's the Chinese, etc) . I'm not sure what's more annoying, hackers or people complaining about hackers. wink.gif

this is the ONLY advice and the best thing you can do to make your online experience a pleasent one

my experience?? here we go:

1.- So i joined a party with 9 people from my platoon; talking chit chatting, etc.. we joined a "random" server with the admin playing on it (wich he was aimbotting like crazy) anyway, we managed to "dominate" somehow the map (gulf of oman conquest large) BEACUSE of 9 people playing as a team with VOIP..

HE kicked anyone that accused him of hacking..

HE kicked ALL OF MY PLATOON out of the server..

2.- a lot of random pub servers.. im testing the recon sniper rifles (i with them suck btw) manage to get like 1 kill; the guy i killed auto C4-xplode-my-behind EVERY single time FROM hes base; talk about it in chat, admin, none worked..

What can you learn about this!??!

find a nice/decent server with ACTIVE NON-DOUCHE-IDIOTS ADMINS, set them as favourites and youre set..

EVERY SINGLE PLACE THERE IS HACKERS/CHEATERS/WHATNOT.. its up to you to "filter" that, including consoles AND REAL LIFE

think about it thumb.gif

I don't blame you but...
Cod 4, WAW, MW2, Black Ops all have hackers (Cod 4, WAW are unplayable) and it sucks even more because you can't pick a server it just throws you in a match.

Companies need to start ACTUALLY going to these websites
A) Either shut them down.. Legally
B) Buy the subscription and ban all the updated hacks right away.
Simple.

People seem way too quick to throw around the "hacker" flag, I went 56 and 2 in a Team Deathmatch game last night on Noshanar Canals with the M27 LAR and was accused of hacking. Simply because someone outmatches you or you fall trap to the horrid netcode which is existent in every version of Battlefield 3 doesn't mean someone's hacking. Try this: Go into the game options and turn the Network Smoothing Factor down all the way, dead bodies will be a little more jolty but for the most part when I tested it last it got rid of a lot of "BS" kills (for example: walking up to a corner and dying before going around the corner as if the game put my physical being out there to be shot). The last hacker I saw was before the last punkbuster update, before I played Hardcore only, it showed him sitting in the spawn facing the wall while the kill counter filled up with everyone on my team. Sure it's possible they're still hacking but that's inevitable, if someone IS hacking they're probably smart enough to not be putting themselves out there killing everyone at once, and instead doing it more under the radar. Just my two cents.

The only time I ever accuse one of hacking is when I'm absolutely 100% certain that they are hacking, e.g. repeatedly destroying air vehicles with tank shells or obvious wall-hacking. But you're right. I get accused of hacking when I'm doing really badly but on the off chance get one really awesome kill.

Plenty of cheaters on consoles as well.

There are cheaters on console as well, and when I run into hackers, and that's seldom, I ether just ignore them, or just stick around for the fun of it. I take online gaming with a grain of salt, I am just happy to have the ability to play with random people across the country, even the world. To me multiplayer gaming is like an interactive chat room.
