For Sale:
MSI A6000-029US Laptop - PRICE DROP!

Will Ship To: US48

Up for sale is my MSI A6000-029US Laptop. The laptop is in great shape. It has no dents or cracks. There are slight scratches on the lid from normal wear and tear. The Windows 7 Home Premium Sticker is in great shape and the license can be read clearly. This laptop works great but i just don't need it after getting my eyefinity setup.

The laptop has a clean installation of Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. (comes with 32-bit) It has been fully activated using the key at the bottom. The original MSI backup/restore is still on the hard drive as well. All drivers have been installed and the laptop is ready for use.

I took the liberty of changing the thermal paste to Arctic Silver 5 as the original paste was garbage. The laptop runs much cooler now.

One of the pictures shows the trackpad buttons and a 3/4 inch blemish on the buttons which doesn't affect functionality.

So under regular use (browsing and word processing) the battery will only last 1hr 44min? Or does Battery Eater work differently?

i dont specifically know how it works since i just google'd a program to test battery. I know it ran an opengl 1366x768 (native res) video and it lasted that amount of time. If you know a different program i should use to test, by all means let me know. However if battery life is your concern, which it should be of course, you can get a new third party battery for $40 on ebay..

but let me know if you want me to test with a diff program..

this says the test that i did indicates battery life on maximum use.. if i do the reader test, it should indicate the amount of time with web browsing and word processing.. ill get on that smile.gif

Can that GPU do full HD decoding by itself? I'm curious about it's abilities. Also...how heavy is this laptop?

My girl has the same laptop but it's newer. Only diff is bluray and ddr3 using the same gpu so i'm sure if the video card can do bluray, it can play 1080p just fine? never did try though.. and i dont know how to benchmark that.

how well it decodes, frame drops, etc.. if you know how then let me know, ill test and report back..

Well, I think I'd be asking too much of you to do the testing I'm interested in because I want VDPAU playback results of BD rips and that requires Linux along with XBMC. Although you could probably get me some FPS results from anything using DXVA in windows...maybe XBMC again if you got any rips. But hell, if you say it can handle bluray fine then it should be fine.

PS: What was the weight of the laptop without and with the battery? I saw some list it at 4.8lbs and just wanted to check.
