I'm hoping someone here is knowledgeable enough to help me with this. I'm currently in the market for an SSD cache drive, and so far I've narrowed it down between OCZ's Synapse and Crucial's Adrenaline. I've decided against Corsair's cache drive since it's still relying on Sata II, and I'd like to at least take advantage of the Sata III ports on my motherboard. Each of these cache drives rely on the same software (Dataplex).

Here is a Newegg link for the OCZ Synapse:

Crucial Adrenaline because better random reads translates to more noticeable real-world improvements.

I would stay away from OCZ also from personal experience. I'm on my 4th RMA now in 2 years including some RMAs that were DOA.

I am in the market for the same thing at this point, which has lead me to here.
My own research on the 2 devices has left me thinking that the Crucial Adreneline would be the best choice,
For informational purposes though:
The Crucial Adreneline is one size fits all: 50GB of caching space. (on what is essentially a 64GB Crucial M4)

The OCZ synapse cache comes in 2 sizes, they are:
64GB, which gives you 32GB of caching space
128GB, which gives you 64GB of caching space

The crucial sits between the 2 OCZ models as far as Price is concerned, so really its a case of how much space do your regularly used programs need? (or the synapse 64GB for those on the lowest budget)

I'd say you are good with the Crucial. You really don't need much space for over provisioning.
