Help Me Pick a Mechanical Keyboard, if you would! - Page 2

it's a big ugly enter key.

thus making it harder to get replacement keycaps. and also makes certain keys smaller (forget which)

If you want media controls, and there are keys on the board that you don't use (like the number pad?), you could remap them through the registry, at least on Windows. Keytweak (which I prefer) or Sharpkeys would handle this.

Been messing with AHK. This may be the perfect keyboard for me. And it's clicky?

The Deck has either MX Clear switches or MX Black, neither of which are clicky, the Clears are tactile and the Blacks are linear.

Well, shucks.

It's not like a switch that makes a click noise is all that matters. The feel of the switch is what matters.

You make a really good point. At this point, I'm thinking either going back to the Ducky Shine and using AHK with -it- to workaround the assorted key issues, or going with the Deck that you recommend.

Just have to churn it over a bit. I'm a little bummed that the ducky has these issues, given the price point, and that makes me lean more towards the Deck because it would seem Deck's just got a better build quality, even if it's not clicky, though I wish I could get custom keycaps for it.

Thanks guys :)
