Not opened software.

I don't know any place that does.

My thoughts exactly.

Surely Amazon have outlined what "defective" means, e.g. a broken CD or the software not installing properly or something.

I've returned basically everything and anything imaginable to Amazon...I get buyer's remorse a lot.

Lucky you retailers can't choose their customers... otherwise every retailer would avoid you! tongue.gif

well amazon has a VERY generous return policy that people often abuse, which i am assuming the guy did.

I get very disappointed when I play games and they have horrible endings... it's especially so when the game is really great. I love Mass Effect, but I don't think I'll play Mass Effect 3, because I will be soul crushed mad.gif

This disturbs me. I was able to snatch the Digital Deluxe Edition for $63 on a sale online, so no complaints. I haven't finished the game yet, but what really pisses me off is how rowdy a lot of the Bioware fans have gotten over the past few years and become too whiny. Just last year, a Dragon Age 2 writer was asked by fans to be fired for defending homosexual romance options, and the strange thing was... the person who started the petition was a homosexual gamer...

Then, just recently, fans hammered hard on the Mass Effect book "Deception" for it's lore inaccuracies. Okay, yes, I understand if you are mad at the author for being unfamiliar with the series before writing it, but do you really have to go so far as to write up a whole PDF pointing every single, minute inaccuracy ranging from krogran anatomy to race-specific architectural design? Some "fans" went as far as burning the book on Youtube...

The recent same day release DLC controversy... this has happened before, especially if the publisher is EA. Just learn to deal with it from now on... no need to go off on Bioware, who aren't even to blame.

As for the ending, I haven't finished yet, but knowing Bioware... it can't be that bad. You don't always get what you want.

Sorry if I sound ticked off, but I just need to vent my frustration that has built up over the past year from the bullcrap some "fans" have been doing.

EDIT: Also to address this issue. Why return it if you just played through it completely? That seems to me that the "fans" are just abusing the return policy of Amazon (which is very lenient from personal experience). I understand if you were dissatisfied with it part way through and returned it, but that person played through the WHOLE thing and then returned it... That's just not right, no matter how unsatisfied you might be.
