This is exactly what EA did - their descriptions are vague enough that it is nowhere near necessary for them to take refunds.
Once again, Amazon does not HAVE to give refunds - it was completely by their own free will that they offered refunds. Just because someone returns a game, does not mean that it was because Amazon were forced to take the return. Otherwise, there would be no game or electronics store that wouldn't be getting refunds 24/7. They have signs that explicitly state, "NO REFUNDS ON OPENED SOFTWARE" or statements along those lines. You can't just go up to them and say, "Well, they said this ending was going to be unique, and I really didn't think it was unique. Can I have my money back?"

Perhaps not where you live, mate, but where I live yeah, you have got the right to a refund. Here, any store that says "no refunds" is flaunting the law. It doesn't matter if it's on software or not.

Amazon do not have the right to state "no refunds" and have to comply with local law. Here, in the UK, it's 6 months with the onus of proof on the retailer, after 6 months the onus of proof is on the consumer.

I ignored him, so from here on out -- I'm done -- It's unfortunate the a programmer comes into this industry promoting that mentality...Homeless in 5 years, much? ~ It's to his own detriment and we'll obviously never change his mind so, it's time to move on IMO.

Pathetic. You don't know anything about my purchasing habits, but you're free to believe what you want.

I won't put you on the ignore list because I'm not a child that makes baseless assumptions.

I've recently given up video gaming and sold off my entire collection. ME3 was the last game I played, and I'm glad that the ending made giving up my hobby of so many years easy.

All of the awesome memories and gameplay of the first two games, the excellent pacing and adrenaline rush from the third, all completely and utterly ruined by what is, single handedly, the worst ending in video game history.

I said I was ignoring/had ignored you...Not that I had put you on the ignore list.

Reading comprehension ftw.

So, I guess that childish mentality needs some serious rethinking.

Fully agreed, I lost all drive to even go back and play any of the games after finding out this is how it all ends, full of plot holes and a cliffhanger ending.

Has there ever been a game that has caused this kind of ****storm? I don't remember any, do any of you?

Not to this degree.

I've never even seen the Call of Duty series get this much negative attention.
