need help hyper x genesis

i have 4dimms of kingston hyperx genesis and i want to know to help with finding a higher oc is it better to run at the auto settings in bios or loosing the timings which i have so far and got it to 1728 with stock voltage. im new to the overclcoking the ram i want to get to atleast 1800 but i really want to get to 1866 and i do understand that overclocking ram does not do any good in gaming. but for me so far in my games i've noticed a smoother frame during gaming. smoother frame as in the fps does not oscillate that much and it is more constant which for me is good and i have to live with the stuff i have not. i just want to know what is a somewhat decent timing to run at to get me close or to the goal i want to achieve. so far i set the timings to 10-10-10-24 and the stock is 9-9-9-24 but still kind of puzzled that the place i got it from is 9-9-9-27 but on the ram stick itself is 9-9-9-24. the timings for auto in bios is 11-11-11-24

here is the model which i have

Always best to manually enter all spec values in bios. I'd start out with stock settings 9-9-9-24 as that was on the Ram itself. Set to 1600MHz and you'll probably need a slight voltage boost over the stock 1.65v. Usually .05 to .1v is enough to stabilize but it really depends on your system. You'll see bigger gains at 1600 to 1600+ but with tighter timings. You may want to try 8-9-8-24. Also kick up the NB Freq as high as possible to see the greatest gains. These gains can be seen/measured by reading the "Reached Memory Score" in MaxxMem II. There's a link in my sig if you wish to explore more.

Good luck!

If I can help any further feel free to PM me.

well for cpu/nb is 2886 which if i go one multi higher i will be at 3100 i don't remember exact number but the cpu multi is 19.0x222 and the nb or ht link is 1998 and right now the timing is 10 10 10 24 at 1.67v i can't go by .05 volts since im running a non efi bios and the ram multi is 8.00 which is the default multi when the ram was put it. i posted on here before and i was told the max i could get out of 9-9-9-24 1.65 was 1680 and so far that was right since my bf3 started to crash when i as at 1680 and 1696 so that is why i set the timings to 10 10 10 since i saw on a website which was tech something and they had the same ram with 10-10-9-24 or 27 and hitting 1800 or 1866 if i am correct. i will go find the link and post it up.
