Zowie AM best design/sensor mouse right now? - Page 5

I think the real question is why would you buy the AM if you weren't looking for low LOD?

if it's anything like the MX518, the scroll wheel is terrible.

I personally hate the AM scroll wheel as well, unless mine is like defective and i don't know it. Super clunky and loud.

Yes it's terrible.

I had a MX518, my brother still has one, and my soon to be sold G400,.. all 3 of them have the same bad scroll wheel. The click is on all too stiff, and the scrolling feels very unprecise and even sometimes it scrolls up/down a notch that wasn't even intended.

My first AM had the same very loud behaviour. I then had a GS and 2 other AM's from which I picked the one that I liked the most.
It's a bit sad that they differ at all but I can now tell that there are AM mice that have a easy to scroll but still tactile feel. The middle click was nice on all though. Also give it time (about a month) to let it break-in.

Weird, my G400's scroll wheel hasn't given me any problems unlike my Deathadder which has a loose feeling scroll wheel which will randomly scroll and an incredibly stiff middle mouse click.

My AM's scroll wheel started off feeling really slow and sluggish, it took about a day or two for it to feel a lot more normal. I personally liked the AM's scroll wheel, the scrolls felt pretty defined and the middle click wasn't that hard to click. It did have an incredibly loud scroll wheel though but I wear headphones so it's not much of an issue.
