message pops up saying to unlock keyring or something

im on ubuntu 11.10, and on startup i started getting a message saying to enter my password in order to unlock the login keyring, and that the login keyring was not unlocked at startup. what the heck is that? and how do i get rid of that message? i did not used to get this message before.

You've got a password saved in Firefox or some other app.

Basically the keychain is an encrypted database of your passwords. So you only have to remember one passphrase (the one for your keychain) and then Ubuntu will use that to auto-populate the passwords for every other supported application.

It's actually quite a handy tool smile.gif
