and what do they mean by (1600MT/s) under FSB?

there pretty good, and 1600mhz is the max speed for Hyper Transport for socket 754. it has an NForce4, which is a realy good chipset but if u want it, u need a PCIE video card..... inless ur 5200 is a PCI, then it will work fine.

then ya, its a pretty good board, but if u have the cash, i would get a 939 rig...

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103537 $55,
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128306 $79

u can get the 3000 upto 2.8ghz and above, but u can still stick ut the Sempron, Maximum PC awarded it best Sempron OC chip, and in the top 4 AMD OC cpus, can get 2.4ish easy...

so the 1600Mhz isn't the FSB?

The 1600MHz is like FSB! AMD K8 platforms don´t use FSB they use Hypertransport which is on S.754 @ 800MHz or 1600MT/s ( at stock )

The FSB is the line between CPU and northbrige and from there to the memory! Hypertransport is a direct way from CPU to the Memory ( The Memory Controller is ón the CPU )

A little detail to add: FSB is Front Side Bus, the means by which the CPU in a typical Intel based system communicates with the Chipset (the North Bridge of the Chipset if its not a unichip design) and the North Bridge communicates with the Memory and South Bridge. There is no FSB in an AMD based system. There is HT (Hyper Transport) or HTT (Hyper Transport Technology) or LDT (Lightning Data Transport) which is the bus used to communicate between the CPU and the Chipset and between the various parts of the Chipset. The same technology is used in the connection between the memory and the CPU but its a different bus physically.

However, FSB and HTT are somewhat analogous in function, being, at least, the communication link between the CPU and the Chipset. The 1600MHz refers to the duplex bandwidth of that link on this board (800MHz each way). More recent boards have a 2000MHz HTT but this is really not that much of an issue as it would be in an Intel based system. The HTT bus is massive and even the 1600MHz version is almost impossible to saturate with current components.
