6970 Dissasembly help!

I have recently decided to open my 6970 and replace the thermal paste with Arctic Silver 5 to see if i could drop the temps, I'm aware that there are thermal pads on the vrams so i was careful to put it back together. I then decided to see if i could find these thermal pads/tape on ebay and puchased these - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-x-25mm-x-25mm-THERMAL-HEATSINK-TRANSFER-PAD-DOUBLE-SIDED-SELF-ADHESIVE-TAPE-/200712155319?pt=Computing_ComputerComponents_Fans_Heatsinks_SR&hash=item2ebb6070b7, does anyone here know if this is safe to use with a 6970?

You'll be fine with the pads smile.gif. no harm will be done to your card, just monitor your temps within the "break-in" period and see if it progressively drops. You should try MX-4 if you're not satisfied with you temps smile.gif.
