Lian Li V354.....black or silver help!!

Thread Starter
So Ive already made up my mind and am going to get a V354 sometime this week (today?).
I am torn between the black and silver version.
I already have a A05NB and love the black look, but at the same time, I would like to appreciate the details that the silver brings out...ones things for sure, those LED fans that come with the case are getting torn out in favor of non lit, mainly because the computer is in my 1yr old daughters room and if anyone has seen the power LED on the A05N, they are friken BRIGHT.....
Any help please
Thanks!

I would go with black because it goes good with the blue, BUT since you are not going to use the LEDs then go with the silver. I will still prefer the black one though thumb.gif

Thanks
I went ahead and got the black. The more I thought about it and the more I looked at my A05NB I had to get the black version. Ill try out the LEDS, but im thinking there gonna have to come out regardless. Ordered the case from NewEgg at about 1PM (eastern) and its already out for shipping....gotta love the Egg...
I also ordered a new motherboard and 8GB ram kit to to compliment the case...

Shouldn't the resolution be 1920 x 1080?Oh, ok ok so you are not going to be gaming on it? Also What does HTPC and RMA mean nerdsmiley.png

no, i game on it....a lot actually. i have been gaming o and off since 2004 but never really got too into it to lots real money into it, im talking ati alll in wonder and nvidia 9400 gt passive gpu...
i only used to play simcity and ut2003, until early last year. i got ito gaming big time. now im catching up on all the old greats like far cry, crysis and half life, (yes, i still havent beaten hl, but im in zen...)
the mnitor is actually a TV first, i got an at the time great deal on i for $225. when my little girl gets old enough to know what tv is then ill have to invest in a good monitor and shell have a nice 2" lcd tv in her room smile.gif

HTPC = Home theater PC. ill by a smaller case for that system and put it in the living room for movies etc.

RMA is when you return merchandise back to the place you bought it for either a refund or replacement, whatever your options are.
ive never had a problem with new egg RMA.

I was lookin at 1600 ram and got 10600 ram instead, so i might just bite the bullet and use this ram and buy another ddr3 kit, then use this ram eventually somewhere else...
my cpu uses DDR2 and DDR3 so Ive got lots of options, hence not buying a new cpu yet, but still being able to use a cpu that used ddr2 in a new ddr3 mobo...gotta love amd for that (at least i do, bring on the trolls!)

fyi
Heres how much i "dont" game smile.gif

It good at my resolutions. Games wont show above 1650 so this is all i really know. havent tried bf3 but i can run most of my games at high or greater with no problems...
i gues next step should be a newer gpu then cpu for that...
i know enough about pc's to mess them up, your typical hobbiest. i fail at things like networking and coding...
Oh that sucks that the resolution doesn't go above 1650, but is good they still run... good. Are you going to wait for the new Nvidia 600s series come out and the ivy bridges from intel?
Yea same about you, but I know how to code python pretty good and next year I am going to learn Java:D
