So I bought it and was fortunate to get one that unlocked to six cores with no problems (except that cpu-z doesn't recognize the processor in the specification line when running 6 cores)

I imagine I'll just run 4 cores but its nice to know i have six if I want.

Do you guys think I could run at 4ghz on air? I'm at 3.5 now and it's not breakin a sweat really...any thoughts?

I'll give it a shot and see what happens. If it isn't prime stable at 4ghz with a passable temp I'll back it down...Might be fun to try it though.

Actually, yes I'm thinking of getting a new cooler. I had no plans to get a better cpu so the tx - 3 was fine ....but now I think I'll upgrade my cooler pretty soon.

I upgraded from an Athlon X3 445 to a 960t BE yesterday and I would say the upgrade is worth it .
