hi peeps im new to ocn and this is my first thread, i have a his 6770 and the stock cooler that came with the card doesn't work no more the fan decided to lock up lol and furthermore its out of warranty, sucks to be me lol. just wandering what aftermarket gpu coolers are out there that dont cost the earth, i wanna go for something similar to the "gelid VGA Cooler Rev. 2 ICY VISION" i dont know if that one would fit my card as there is no 6770 in the support list any help here would be greatly appreciated guys thanks

I wonder if you could mount an Antec 620 on that baby and do "The Mod"

thats a good idea i never even thought to do that and its a good idea for cooling just the gpu but what about the rest of the card when the fan failed the gpu was peaking out at 99c lol atm i have the heatsink that came with the g/c still on there i removed the fan and outer casing and have a 12cm fan rubber banded to it LOL it works better then the original fan did but i wanna look for something that can be more permanent and less dodgy haha

My 6770 only has a cooler on the die. The rest of it is bear.
So a 620 would work on it well. Just that thats a lot of cooling power for a card that would be fine with just a old CPU heat sink strapped to it.

the rest of that card wont get hot enough to hurt anything. I just got done doing both my 470s with the antec 620 and man is it impressive.
