i would maybe buy this! my younger brother has a mx17 with a amd 6990 in it, it is pretty sweet. I myself have owned an older generation of mx17 alienware laptop which was a big bulky square and good for its time.... i think it was the generation b4 this latest generation where they changed the shell of the laptop to be really cool now. this is interesting! tongue.gif

Pretty cool, but would running the pump for this setup require more battery than a fan? I don't know because my laptop is never used for gaming that is serious, and I can't even OC the thing, I don't even want to since it would probably blow up.

Very nice. I was thinking about modding my MSI GX740 to do something like this but instead built a PC lololol

I'm skeptical that this would be effective for any practical amounts of time spent doing anything demanding. There's a reason why desktop rads are so big. I can't fathom moving enough heat from the water/coolant given how small the rads looked in that system, and how tight everything is.

Methinks there's a reason why there's no mention of temperatures in their advertisement designed to showcase that they can achieve lower temperatures.

I don't see the point of "desktop replacements." What's the point of a laptop that can't travel?
