sapphire HD 6670 power question

Thread Starter
So i have a HD 6670 and it requires a 400watt power supply. The GPU takes like 65w running normal but on full load it takes 200w. So i seen people using the HD 6670 with a power supply as low as 220w. So my question is "i have a 350w power supply you think i could run the HD 6670 safely with out messing anything us ???"

P.S i will be getting a stronger power supply soon but kinda want to use the HD 6670 now

thanks for reading guy's thumb.gif

There is no way it can take 200w on load, it has no PCI-E 6pin power connector. I forget what the maximum wattage the pci-e slot can deliver (i think it depends on which spec) but it's either 75w or 150w. You are safe with 350w assuming its not some ultra cheap massively overrated unit.
