I like this idea. No stand would save us the hassle of having to open it to remove the existing one.

How about no stand, no plastic arch, no cables at all, just the monitor with no branding and the power brick. The simpler we make this, the cheaper it can be.

We can get a cheap stand and cables through monoprice. Many of us already have the required cables anyway.

Super interested.

This has gotten me more excited than GTX680 release.

Would def be interested in 120hz + DP only (no input lag).

Also, requesting a different stand doesn't seem very constructive - people can replace it for additional cost if they want, otherwise it should be left as is - the less alterations we request, the cheaper it will likely be.

I concur. I mean, based from the info that some of the OCN members have gathered (pcb board, LG panel, etc), we can based these requests around them. I hope everything will come together.

Hehe smile.gif well, I see your point. but if this monitor has to sell to other "regular" people aswell, it needs both cabels and stand wink.gif
I dont know how much we will be able to affect exterior/design.

Overclock.net edition was proberly ment as some kind of a sticker, but sounds like people would rather have it clean!

Regarding the Perfect Pixel panel... come on. no one has flawless panels, and what can we expect from ~400$ cheap corean monitor.
Without glass, no dust. i dont think there have been many (maybe 1 or 2) reports of "stacked/annoing" dead pixel. If you want the A+ grade panel that will probertly bump up the price 2-300$ and im not sure they will do that. But ofcourse it wouldn't hurt to have the oppotunity.

Its nice to see all the votes comming in, Im sure he will be overwhelmed tomorrow! (he already was when i made the thread this morning and the first 10 votes came almost instant) smile.gif Keep them comming!

To be honest I could just imagine his eye turning into $ signs... no offense to the guy or anything of course; it's just a cartoon moment for me haha.

I wonder if DP only would be possible, because I mean if it's at 100hz and 2560x1440 then the users prob all have a DP vid card. I mean even HD 3000 has a DP port biggrin.gif

Did the manufacturer even acknowledge the possibility of DP?

Sign me up for one. Looks like I'm going to have to settle for only one 680, lol.
