I still think it's hilarious though. Tell him we'll sell him a 2560x1440 @120hz DisplayPort monitor if they're that desperate

They do exist, you just can't buy them yet. Do enough searching and you will find that LG is working on a 120hz 27" IPS monitor.

IMO the 2B panels that some got were prototypes for this. I would bet LG has this out this year, or next.

This is mostly speculation.

What is the "confirmed" model going to feature? I know OP said specs are still being confirmed but do we have any idea at least what's being worked on/whats possible? Trying to decide if I want to wait this out or buy now.

Feature I am interested in: Shipping to Australia and a overclockable refresh (obviously). Other than that, I would request not too much of a price hike. Aka - Just be reasonable.

.... And gentle.

I believe we ALL want to make sure that there is a giant Hello Kitty logo on the monitor or we won't buy them! (gosh I hope they're listening!!)

Th is is not a very good day for me, I paid about 20-40% more for all my computer parts just because I'm in Australia then get told by a korean company I'm being excluded because I'm to south to ship anything to? I supose their northern mates cant fly a missile south so a planes obviously to hard as well.

My dreams of a super smooth display and a socialist world have both been dashed by the inconvenience of longitude!

What is all this chat about OZ being excluded? I'm hoping this is just a joke as that would be pathetic considering the vast number being exported here
