All of you are certifiable if you believe you'll still be getting this monitor for $400 with a pixel-perfect guarantee. The reason these monitors are so cheap is the A- grade panel.

Preferably with crossoverish stand and bezel but as long as it's 120hz it's fine either way. The more spartan it is the better. Ie no speaker, no pivot, no extra inputs/osd etc.

me too!
I'm from Italy , and I'm very interested to this monitor!
I would a version with perfect pixel, Multi Input (DP would be great for connect macbook), 100 Hz.
No Tempered glass , because I don't want dust.
Maybe speakers...

Do you think it's possible??

It be sweet if it had.

dual link dvi
display port.
No speakers or scaler for speed.
No dead pixels, good response time.
It would be nice to be able to adjust the color, contrast from the monitor with some sort.

HDCP, this was big back when ppl were switching to windows vista and introduction of blue-ray. HDCP = high definition copy protection, if it doesn't have that capabilities some copy protected videos get pumped at a lower resolution or does not display at all.

Make things interesting, no dust, glass without the filter on the screen, that way you can clean the glass without damaging the screen but being able to still get richer colors without the anti glare film. Some guy in this forum messed up his dell u2711 when he removed the anti glare screen and tried to clean it with mineral water.

Thin Bezels, I would love Thin Bezels.

If it can do 100hz, I am in for one.

What everyone else is asking for seems like a bit much. Really, the only things I want are:

-100hz or greater
-minimal input lag, achieved either with single input dvi or dp, or multiple inputs with the switch

We should make sure this actually goes down. If all the other things can be added without much hassle and minimal cost, then that's great.

Well... I had to sum things up before i went to bed, so I'm prepared in the morning.
This is basicly what we are getting down to. feel free to come with input!

Yamakasi Catleap Custom Q270
  • Panel: LG S-IPS 27" 2560x1440 (Option to pay exstra for A+ rated panel if possible / Perfect Pixel)
  • Refresh Rate: >= 100hz (120 hz PCB)
  • MS: <= 6
  • Connections: Single connection only (DP or DUAL-DVI)
"Single connection to reduce/remove input lag, If possible both DP and DUAL-DVI with manual switch to reduce input lag (no board processing/detection)"
  • No Speakers
  • No Tempered Glass (to avoid dust caught behind)
  • No Anti-Gloss Coating
  • No OSD On Screen Display (for reduced input-lag)
  • No Scalar (for reduced input-lag)

Whishes (if possible):
  1. Smaller/thinner/simpler bezel. (Screen border/edge)
  2. Solid stand (pivot if possible) but if it isn't more stable, leave it as it is, or remove it to lower price.
  3. (Less to none) branding and stickers.

But we would settle with 2B'like monitors (if customising isn't possible)?

That's pretty much it! I would put that we prefer DisplayPort if possible over DVI. MUCH higher bandwidth on the DP. Should be able to handle pushing the beast to 120hz! Plus it's not on its way out wink.gif.

You're pretty much the coolest person in the world right now for doing this BTW! Keep us posted smile.gif
