+1 for me, but since this is a "group buy", I would expect some economies of scale. At least, nothing above $400.

But for me, an A+ panel guarantee is key, and if possible, a matte (anti-gloss) coating. I know they can mess up the coating, but you can take it off with distilled water, and it really helps with glare and eyestrain.

Also, what are the blacks like? I really love dark blacks, like MVA.

And if there's an opportunity for RBG LED backlighting, I'd pay up to $800 per monitor....

Why not turn them vertically? 4320x2560 in a 27:16 aspect ratio?

I know I will look like a newbie, but can someone tell me if my tri-fire 6970 will be able to handle 3 of these CatLeap in eyefinity and how do I connect them? Do I connect one DVI per card???

I would be all over 1. I would be all over 3 if I could afford to drop $1200 in monitors.

If perfect pixel can be guaranteed, count me in for about 7. I bought a CrossOver for testing, and my company's IT department wants to get about 7 more.

Battlefield 3, 2560x1600, single Radeon 6970: 26 fps min, 42 average on Ultra Quality. 26 was in one test, 42 in another, so...probably that is mid & average results.

6970 Crossfire is 39-83 fps in the same res. So...Tri-Fire will be good enough for single monitor definitely and probably can run 5760x1080 under 40-60 fps maybe.

Link to the test: http://www.hardocp.com/article/2012/01/30/amd_radeon_hd_7950_video_card_review/10 (7950 and 6970 Cross-X also)

Usually 3-way SLI can handle 7680x2560 resolution, but this is without the "VRAM eaters". So no chance to play every time without any "slow motion" in 7680x1440 mad.gif

With nVidia method is as simple as you said: one monitor per card.

Hello. Greetings from hardocp!
I would definitly get one if 100mhz guaranteed. Already have a flawless crossover led-p but 100mhz would be nice.
new user here, registered just to track these monitors.

I would be in for 3 if its <$400 and has a no dead pixel guarantee.
There seems to be an overwhelming request for pixel perfect monitors.

How much would the price increase from an A- to an A+ panel?

Honestly I don't see what the big deal is; just about every LCD I've owned (with the exception of my current Catleap, ironically enough) has had at least one stuck or bad pixel, and it's never bothered me even with pixels much larger than these. Unless they're in the central area of the monitor, I wouldn't really sweat it - and the overwhelming majority of panels will either have no bad pixels or if they do have them, they'll be around the edges somewhere where it won't be that bothersome. Not to mention they'll be so tiny it'll be tough to see them even up close...
