Unless they're in the central area of the monitor, I wouldn't really sweat it - and the overwhelming majority of panels will either have no bad pixels or if they do have them, they'll be around the edges somewhere where it won't be that bothersome. Not to mention they'll be so tiny it'll be tough to see them even up close...

I am of a similar mindset.

Interested. Voted yes!

Maybe, depends on the final price. Small bezel must be considered by the manufacturer, will make it perfect for Eyefinity or nVidia Surround.

I disagree. Im quite acute, visually speaking and would get really peeved if I were to receive my brand new fancy high specd monitor only to find it has dead or stuck pixels. I will notice it and it will bug me. Ofcourse to the side is better than dead centre but it will still be there and it will still annoy me. Besides with our purchasing power and giving the seller/company an incentive why would you want A+ panels with no bleeds, dead or stuck pixels?

In some countries eg Australia they would actually be able to pull the "less than 5 is ok". Consumer law here forbids that and it has to be perfect or the customer is allowed refund or replacements though when these things first got introduced years ago they did have the same conditions until consumer commission cracked down on it.

Also guys, keep in mind here we're getting a BUDGET (400$) IPS 27 freaken inch at 1440 freaken P monitor. If we really wanted pitch perfect and have real flowers spewing out of the monitor, we should not be here in the first place.

The top priorities are: Around the same cost BUT with the ability for 100hz+ operation, while minimizing input lag and eliminating extra adds over the screen

Exactly! 1920x1080 has 2,073,600 pixels. 2560x1440 has 3,686,400 pixels in the same area (assuming 27'' to 27''). You really think you are going to notice 1-2 stuck pixels? Doubt it. maybe if they are RIGHT next to eachother and in the middle of the screen. You can't tell me that with ~3.7 mil pixels having ONE bad is going to ruin you. Its not.

That being said, the A+ panels I am sure would be preferred if the price wasn't too big and they could actually be sourced. A- at this price and 100hz+ would be amazing. Hell, if we have a promise of getting the 2b's that overclocked at the 360 dollar price point it'd be amazing. Everything else is just a bonus.

You want an A+ screen with perfect pixels, go buy a Thunderbolt or Dell display for 3x the cost.

Im interested as well, even after buying one.

If they are going to make a custom monitro, why not use a newer port like Display Port that can handle 120Hz at this resolution?
