When you agree to purchase from them you agree to those policies, since stuck pixel policies aren't deemed to be against the consumer law but rather "fair enough" and to be expected to an extent. It gets messy. Like you said "best effort services".
I couldn't be arsed to challenge it for two stuck pixels.
Haha the Apple network won't be far off. rolleyes.gif
Yeah the broadband thing wasn't the best analogy, I still can't think of a better one though redface.gif

How long ago was this mate?

I know when they first started selling it was exactly the same deal ie less than 5 tough luck etc. accc and a bunch of others cracked down on it and though the manual eg from asus might say whatever they cant get away with it anymore..... I believe this has been the case now for about 4 years or so. Before then it was a nightmare to try and sort things out.

2 years ago I had purchased a brand new samsung that had 1 dead pixel and though the manual said bla bla bla samsung shipped a replacement overnight no questions. They used to pull the same BS with TV panels too lol.

Assuming the koreans dont come through..
Guys, has anyone, perhaps with mandarin language abilities, tried searching for our options with the actual manufacturers of these monitors rather than dealing with their "korean" brand names? (not implying anything but these panels and monitors are all made and assembled in China and branded for yamakasi, achieva etc)

Also based on some research seems like on average a perfect panel is about $40 more or about 270more

Isnt this what we are looking for? atleast the dvi board appears to be 2b

Nevermind

EDIT: No, that PCB is 6870C-0355A... Its not the same PCB as either the 2B or 2C, probably just one of the countless variations. But note, it doesn't even have the 2 bottom connections, so it definitely won't be like the 2B.

Taobao merchants don't ship overseas unfortunately. They also don't deal on Paypal.
You can however deal with many agents that act as middlemen for Taobao deals.
Add all the costs, and it goes more than USD500.
They do have DP options though.

Despite the model number differences, it uses the same T-con chip as the 2C and what looks like the same connections - so it's probably compatible with 2C hardware and not overclockable.

I'm in for one as long as the quality is guaranteed to a reasonable point. If they are as awesome as they seem to be, then I'll probably pick up an extra one. I'd like to have 3, but I don't think I have the space for it.

I hope Its available before Q4 2012, else I'll probably have to get a Benq XL2420T.

How soon will these 100hz be available(if it happens) I'm in need of a monitor right now! Put it on ebay right now and i'll buy it!! guaranteed thumb.gif
