It's time for an update, I have received my ASUS Maximus V Extreme motherboard, i7 3770K (Batch #3224A925, Costa Rica), Samsung SSD 830 256GB, Corsair Dominator GT's 1866MHz, Seasonic X-1250 and AquaComputer's Aquaero 5 PRO. I'm going to air cool my rig until it proves itself for at least a month, I'm also waiting for my retail copy of Window 7 (or 8), AC Flow Sensor MPS Flow 400 and partial or full coverage blocks for the motherboard mainly the VRM's. More updates soon!

NICE. I would love one of those cases someday.

Looking great so far. I have the same PSU and was wondering if you have some shots of the sleeved cables for the PSU.

Build seems to be coming out great and yes I would love to own a case like that one day.

I have quite a bit of wires to solder, some of wiring uses two wires going into one ATX pin insert (2 into1), I'm re-doing those for aesthetics reasons creating a low profile y-slice, waiting for my high-end soldering station. Overclocking on air right now and considering delidding my Ivy Bridge 3770K!

dat case

Its all sorts of epic and amazing. It does look a bit boxy, but its a dream case with space to fit anything you want and the neighbour's family (like dad says about car trunks).

Only thing intriguing me is why not use 140mm fans instead? I know that those beautiful Gentle Typhoons only come in 120mm as far as I've seen, but any decent quality 140mm fan should move more air and be more silent (as far as logic goes, never got to actually research that).

Systemlord, this is the Lord of The Rigs. The one rig to rule them all XD

According to Martin these Gentle Typhoons when mounted to the BGears adapters outperform all 140mm fans and actually increase airflow when compared to Gentle Typhoons mounted to a 120mm form factor radiator. Gentle Typhoons + BGears adapters improves an already very impressive fan, you should read Martins 120mm VS 140mm fan shootout!

Please do link me to that shootout! I never thought I'd see a 120mm fan outperforming a 140mm, that's very impressive. I know that the GT's are epic, but didn't think they were THAT epic.

Here you go.

This makes some of the stronger performing 120mm fans a very viable option on 140mm radiators. I had really hoped the 140mm fans would be a huge benefit over 120s, but I’m just not finding that.
