Case Labs STH10 --> 2xSR1 560 Project Genesis - Page 7

I don't think I can live with the stainless steel piece the way it is on my chipset WB, I'm going to hire someone or buy an airbrushing kit and paint it statin black because the plain stainless steel piece doesn't match-up with any component that will ever be included in this build or any build in the future!

Suggestions wanted and needed! biggrin.gif

Thanks for the kind words, the GT's look high tech while perform better with the adapters! You are going to have to use weather stripping (Home Depot 3/16") to seal the adapter before mounting the fans, I recommend using 3M screws when mounting the fans to the adapters. You will need longer screws because of the extra depth of the adapters when mounting to the radiators.

I'm have been tirelessly working on my build for the last 12 hours, I soldered my MDPC 3-pin connectors to the circuit boards I purchased yesterday and have covered them in 3M's Carbon Fiber DI-NOC! Now before I get ahead of myself here I have Mayhem Extreme Biocide, but don't I need something to prevent that greenish corrosion buildup in my radiators copper and brass construction!

I don't want to run premixed coolant because coolants increase temps, isn't there some sort of corrosion concentrate to add to the distilled water? I'm shocked that no one has developed a corrosion concentrate alongside the various types of Biocide, can anyone recommend such a corrosion concentrate that won't take up to much water volume within my loop? Lot's more updates ever couple of days!

My first ever soldering job on a PCB using my Hakko FX-888, not bad for a first timer!

Looking good, and Primochill Liquid Utopia. It's a corrosion inhibitor and biocide. I use the clear because I don't want to put dyes in my loop, but it comes in about 20 color choices if that's what you like.
Looks like they stopped making it in dyed colors, only clear now. Click

Thanks, it was my first time soldering on circuit boards, it's easy really because the solder refuses to flow across the different rows of circuits. I plan on having everything up and running middle of this week, I need to take pictures before firing it up cause it will never look as clean as it is now!

I need to get proper lighting installed since my camera shoots a horrible picture in low lighting!

Are there any updates to this build? It was looking really promising and the inspiration for me going with fans shrouds in my future SMH10/STH10 build when I finally get my funds together.
