Awesome! I get a higher 3DMark score!

Except if it doesn't show any difference in the real world, does it really matter?

You know half of Intel's lead can probably be attributed to fab capacity alone.

The second system used the desktop version and was also running DiRT 3, driving an Eyefinity setup with three monitors using only its integrated GPU. As Saša says in the video, the resolution is set to "16 by 10," which would make it 5040 x 1050 across three monitors. The detail level was lower, and AA was off this time. Granted, this is nothing for enthusiasts to get excited about, but seeing an integrated graphics solution run a modern DX11 game on a three-screen setup was pretty impressive.

Doesnt really work, its made up info from AMD for best case scenario. We need real reviews and real numbers.

Unfortunately, we aren’t allowed to talk about what was in the two demo systems beyond the fact that both were equipped with quad-core Trinity parts, and we can’t give you hard performance numbers for the demo runs, as AMD made sure not to show us any frame rate counters.

That's more like it for reasoning. However, the desktop A8 has 400 shaders at 600mhz and isn't anywhere close to the performance of a 6670. Quote from Anandtech (Click to show)
Overall the Radeon HD 6550D in AMD's A8-3850 APU performs a lot like a discrete Radeon HD 6450 card.
Source

So downgrading from 400 -> 384 shaders and overclocking from 600-760mhz isn't going to be a gigantic increase in performance. It will still be nicer than mobile Llano chips now, no doubt about that.

Calling me noob alone isn't going to back up your statement.

8e0a9b45-d470-4fcc-afb9-7c641af4344b.jpg
Don't know if you can see, but it is 3285/4067 respectively on HD7660D.

700794.jpg
3804 and 4616 respectively on HD6570 DDR3 880/1070 MHz (overclocked)

612824.jpg
4377 and 5480 respectively on HD6670 GDDR5 800/1000 MHz. HD7670 is a rebrand of HD6670.

A quick math work shows us a 25% difference between HD7660D and HD7670. Granted this is only synthetic benchmark and does not show actual performance. However I find it hard to believe it is anywhere close to HD7670.

Of course I'm not too familiar with benchmark, so correct me if I am wrong (nicely this time!).

But you're wrong. 7660D has GCN SPs. 6550D had VLIW5. Compare the 7750 vs. 6770 and you'll understand that GCN cores are much faster (512 vs 800, and they're roughly the same performance, similar stock clocks). So multiply the 384 by ~ 1.5 (800/512 = ~1.56), and you get 600 VLIW5 SP's, is what the 7660D is equivalent to. Seems very reasonable it could be 50% faster than the 6550D given fast enough RAM.

And I call bs on the Anand quote. Look at the benches, with DDR3 1866 it's much faster than the 6450, and occasionally it's within a couple percent of the 5570. http://www.anandtech.com/show/4448/amd-llano-desktop-performance-preview/3

7660D does NOT use GCN SP. It still uses VLIW4.

Quote:
Because of this need to inform developers of the hardware well in advance, while we’ve had a chance to see the fundamentals of GCN products using it are still some time off. At no point has AMD specified when a GPU will appear using GCN will appear, so it’s very much a guessing game. What we know for a fact is that Trinity – the 2012 Bulldozer APU – will not use GCN, it will be based on Cayman’s VLIW4 architecture. Because Trinity will be VLIW4, it’s likely-to-certain that AMD will have midrange and low-end video cards using VLIW4 because of the importance they place on being able to Crossfire with the APU.

Only HD77xx, HD78xx, and HD79xx on desktop uses GCN.

That's not 100% certified. Either way, AMD will have to increase the APU's graphics power one way or another - meaning if it is VLIW4 it's almost certainly going to have more than 384 SPs.

AMD's own slides. Only Kaveri and afterwards will use GCN.

Is this the one AMD was aiming for low-cost "ultrabooks" with? For some reason $500 sticks out to me, not sure if there's any background to it though. Really looking forward to some great options, although since I don't need anything until '13 I think waiting until W8 may be best at this point.
