Also, check out the video section in the OCN marketplace for some used goodies, I've sold and bought a few on there, it's nice to know what you're getting (in terms of how it will clock already)!

Good idea, though I think the 580 might be too much. The 680 should push down 570 prices as well.

For the listed games and uses, any of the 500 series should be satisfactory, but for longevity the 570 and 580 are better suited.

It's nothing personal, it just always makes me laugh when I see people commenting in a certain section for another brand than said section (amd vs intel is always a heated area, nvidia vs ati(amd) is nearly as heated.)

That Q9300 CPU is going to be a bottleneck. I remember being disappointed with the performance when I upgraded to GTX 470. That was with Q6600 overclocked to 3GHz. After I switched to 2500K there was a big fps increase in some games, for example in Starcraft 2, WOW and Bad Company 2.
