Wow... Pcper images of tests. Some make 7970 look last gen. The gtx 680 is nuts!! It isn't everything but if this is representative........ Yes, even at 2560.

Wow... Pcper images of tests. Some make 7970 look last gen. The gtx 680 is nuts!! It isn't everything but if this is representative........

If that 1080p Skyrim benchmark is accurate. *throws a bucket of money at the screen* GIMMMMEEEEEEE!!! Thanks for sharing.

Edit: There is no way that the 680 is getting >100% increase in Skyrim. Is he comparing the 580 with the old drivers against the 680 with the new drivers? I've heard that the new drivers have nearly doubled the performance for Nvidia users and it would explain why he's seeing >100% increases.

WOW 120FPS max and 49FPS min on BF3 Ultra preset @ 1920x1200

384

Even doing good on greater resolution 2560x1600 BF3 where I would have thought for sure the extra 1GB of VRAM on the 7970 would have beat the 680. Impressive.

384

I'm truly excited to try out a single GPU solution where my new 120Hz 27" gaming monitor can actually be put to some good use. thumb.gif

I am thinking this is what they likely intended to release at this time all along but... Dunno. Happy regardless!

Wow nice find.

The GTX 680 IS nuts. If AMD doesn't have something to counter, they are going to be in a bad place again.

I'm more interested in a clock-to-clock comparison or a max o/c to a max o/c comparison. If 680 has a lot of o/c headroom, I'll probably jump ship soon.
