Really? For the millionth time, METRO IS ONLY USED IN THE START MENU. YOU DON'T NEED TO MAKE METRO APPS. LEGACY PROGRAMS RUN JUST FINE BECAUSE METRO IS ONLY A REPLACEMENT START MENU. THATS IT.
So goddamn sick of the BS people are spreading around saying how Metro is the only interface available in Windows 8. Others pick up on this and then get a bad image of Windows 8 when in reality, it's NOTHING like how people are making it out to be.

So your saying sales numbers will prove how successful it is? I hope to let you know Windows 8 will most likely sell more copies then any other Windows before. So if thats your way of saying Windows 8 sucks, then I would re-word your post quickly.

The start menu is a goddamn massive
part of the Windows UI, changing it (ie. metro) is changing it significantly. Anyone using the start menu (fairly) regularly in Win7/XP/Vista will have to use Metro just as often in Windows 8, unless they learn keyboard shortcuts...Which most average consumers won't.
Metro is only a Start Interface. How long will it take you people to understand that? Metro is not a Windows inside a Windows like you people make it out to be. Its simply the classic start menu stretched to a full screen visual interface. Nothing more, nothing less. Besides the use of Metro style applications, which launch directly from the start menu (again another improvement).

Anyone who believes in a release pattern like that should just delete their OCN account. I have never had problems with any of the Windows operating systems from 95 up till now. Even Vista was fine for me (other then being a resource hog). If you dislike a version of windows, it only proves you clearly don't know how to use it.
