I've heard complaints of overheating the north bridge on this board, I'm nit planning on running a hefty overclock if my 7550 unlocks to quad, but I will be oc'ing the 240 to 3.5 ish ghz if the 7550 won't unlock.

I would like to see a board with a linked heatsink between north bridge and capacitors next to cpu socket..

there must be aftermarket heatsinks for nb/sb + those capacitors but what fits what is a toss up..

I'm also concocting ideas of grabbing a cheap case and an asrock extreme3 970.

your only going to find that on a 8+2 phase board or a 6+1 if your willing to go to 130 for that board with a 2 year warrenty Id look at a open box Sabertooth board with a 5 year warrenty and its a awsome board and a 8+2 board

I'm looking to go sub $150 for mobo + ram.
The samsung rounds up to $50 shipped so $100 for the mobo is ideal.
The extreme3 is only $85..

My current case only accepts 9.6 x 9.6 max mobo, and frankly if I go for a case I want it to be ready for my i5 build, so it's really a pipe dream..

I really want to find a good oc'ing micro, with unlock features in the mega cheap..

Thanks for all the input, but I'm going to want a full size usb 3.0 side panel etc.. For the i5, not butting a case I can't re use for it.

Why are there no micro atx mobo that seem oc friendly???
