Yeah I tried looking up the kit using the CPU-Z memory code but nothing showed up. Although you can see it is a CL10 2666MHz 4gb per dimm kit.

What's the use in high-speed memory? Not trolling or anything.. I really don't understand. Isn't it still bottlenecked significantly by even the fastest SSDs?

the point is that its fun to OC and see how high you can go, a good IMC can help handle a lot of RAM at good speeds. What is the point of CPU OC when the game is GPu limited? People do it anyways.

Extreme OC is a sport, it is done for fun and to show off platform potential. Memory speed isn't as big a boost as CPU, but it does help. Not everything has to go to an SSD.

Yes sir!thumb.gif

You can even use RAM as a virtual SSD.

Sin, what kind of clocks are you getting with a couple 2 gb sticks? I'm sure you have some laying around. Maybe some Hypers or something.

Or how much higher can you go with 2 of those 4gb dimms vs all 4?
