Yesss!! Just removed the screw. The JD well didn't work, maybe I didn't let it sit enough? About ten hours.
I used a 1/16 drill bit, then a 3/32 bit and finally for the top I used a 1/8 bit, which is roughly 6.2mm (don't have metric bits). Especially with the 1/8 bit I was on very low speed because the diameter of the holes seems to be very close to the size of that bit.
Anyway, drilled the top off and removed the cooler with ease. No visual damage, don't think any JD well residue either. Can I use I use isopropyn alcohol on the back to make sure it's clean?

Will hopefully finish the build I was working on tomorrow and hopefully this beast of a card still works.

I had never oc'ed a gpu and used this article as my starting point. Went so easy it become my finish point as well. MSI Afterburner - could it be easier? I don't think so.
