Thanks for the info.
@Djriful The threads for the reference cooler and the EK Block are two different sizes of threads, so the screws that come with the EVGA backplate aren't necessarily compatible with the EK block. They obviously worked for crueIntention, but he's using a 2-way bridge that also helps support the blocks to the cards, and I dunno if I trust the EVGA screws enough to hold my block up. Thanks for the pdf link to how install it though.

agreed, without the EK Bridge, i'd be pretty screwed (lol pun intended..), i have sent the EK and EVGA guys an email to see if they plan on addressing this issue, i mean in previous builds i've seen tons of people with EK blocks and EVGA backplates, kind of dumbfounds me that the screws provided aren't longer and same size thread. The EK backplate is sexy don't get me wrong, but i personally love the look of the EVGA backplate.

@modinn, if you go to the hardware store this weekend to see if you can find matching screws can you pm me that info, i'd go but it's easter weekend and i'm sure i have a fun filled weekend with my girlfriend and her nephews...

Got my Galaxy GTX 680 yesterday and immediately went to overclocking. So far I've found that my max appears to be:

+132%
+185
+300

Anything above 300 on the memory and I start to not see any gains or I get some artifacting. One thing I have noticed though in Heaven 3.0, my min fps can be a bit random causing the scores to vary. Not a big deal, and I'm new to overclocking, so I'm not sure if this is the norm. I use 8xAA 16xAF and Extreme tesselation at 1920x1080 and I can get a min fps of 23.6 on one run but the next will be 17.1 min fps.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining about the card at all. The card actually exceeds my expectations in every regard. Just looking for some input from the more seasoned overclockers as to if this is something I should expect to be normal in my future overclocking endeavors.

i get the same thing when it first starts anywhere between 15-30 min fps, after that it just skyrockets. sure you don't have anything to worry about, also found games like bf3 actually will get you higher clocks than what u can in heaven.

I was thinking that it was probably a normal occurence. Thank you for confirming it! I did play some BF3 and Skyrim with it last night and was extremely impressed with the performance. Coming from GTX 570's in SLI I was wondering if I made the right decision. I can now say without a doubt that it was well worth it.

Ouch, sorry to hear that. I have noticed that the overclocking potential of these cards seems to be widely varied. On the other hand, even at stock though, these cards are great performers IMO.

^ This

I did have to bump the voltage to the recommended 1.175. On stock voltage anything over +125 caused a crash.
