What are you using to bump voltage, I thought it was locked to automation by the card? Mine shoots to 1.175 during my max overclock without any intervention from me.

yup, already done that but seems not working also.feels like the odds are against on me this year tongue.gif from gtx 580>7970>680 i had only manage to squeeze 100mhz on the 3 cards i own except for the 560 ti's i had last year, that i manage to bump up to 1ghz in sli w/o sweat.

In EVGA Precision X there is a button for voltage adjustment. It is by default set to I believe .98 something. I bumped it to the 1.175.

I will say that when I start up a game I do see that the volts are at the .98 and they will jump to 1.175 as soon as the card is being utilized. Not sure what this actually changes if it is already bumping up for you, (I didn't load a game before changing the option so I'm not sure if it would do the same on mine) but I did have to modify it to start getting higher overclocks on the gpu.

Hmm, mine bumps the voltage automatically for me. I think that evtune doesn't do anything for the 680 and is just a placebo. tongue.gif

Bumping voltage in Precision does nothing. The card will go to the max voltage on its own if you're under whatever you set for your TDP limit.

hm...what i thought is that it does throttle itself, so if you haven't messed with voltage, the max it could get would be .980 or something like that, and when you max it out to 1.175 it'll throttle to that amount under load. seems like everything on this card is automated. i know i can push 1250mhz with no issues at all. trying to hit 1310 i crash. thats at 132% TDP and 1.150 voltage. and all on air, i haven't been able to run benchies with my waterblocks yet as my system is still down waiting on usps.

Whether you mess with the voltage slider or not, the card will do what it wants to do lol. It will idle normally at .98V but under load it will go to whatever it needs to, up to a max of 1.175V (even though Precision slider goes up to 1.215V).

Modded BIOS that allow 1.2v and a downclocking that only happens at 85c would make this card absolutely perfect.
