Over clocking has changed in the belly of the beast.

Hmmm, I was under the impression the 7970's were good when they do 1125 on stock volts and that most were doing 1200.

Lol I know I will have a hard time not snagging a different one tomorrow if it pops up on the egg. But I would really need to flip this one quick on Cl to get the money off my credit card. I should just leave well enough alone.

With these findings, would a Tri/Quad-SLI GTX 680 be better served with a SB-E/IB-E platform, or is Ivy Bridge going to do well on its own?

So I've been messing with this precision X program, pretty neat now that I have some idea of what I'm doing redface.gif

Is an OC considered stable if during the fuzzy test you get a single artifact after a minute or two?
Or does it have to be artifact free for 10 minutes or something?

132%
+100 core
+150 memory

Not too great :-/

They could be talking about either MSI Kombuster, Furmark, the EVGA program, OCCT, GPUTool, etc etc. There are plenty of burners out there.

Leave memory alone and see what the max gpu core you can get. For me, memory does very little and if too high system crashes. I just work the core up until in crashed, then walk up the memory, but for me memory clocking is not worth it excpt to get that extra score. Memory clock most likely is causing your crashes.

It seems there is a huge difference in the range of cards. redface.gif
