So modded Skyrim set my ceiling. I found though that performance scales linearly with increased memory clocks and there is no "sweet spot". Get that memory frequency as high as it can go!

Those number are still pretty good considering 4-Way SLI is usually a bit harder to highly overclock. 4-way 680 just destroys Skyrim in Surround:

I am just astounded by how smooth the GTX 680 handles Surround using PCI-E 3.0 slots. There is no micro-stuttering, pauses or jitters. I don't think I could tell the difference between a single GPU running a single monitor and this 4-Way SLI Surround setup. Combine that with the CRT's and this is by far the smoothest and best Surround/Eyefinity setup of mine to date. wink.gif

It will be interesting to see if any of these new EVGA non-reference cards will allow the voltage to rise above software 1.175 (I think really the only way to get more clocks out of these and just not more power phases).

effing awesome setup.

If you overlap the bezels there'll be less than an inch of bezel showing depending on the monitor. Plus if you're playing an FPS game, you're focused on the centre of the screen and the bezels are pretty much invisible. Or get one of these? Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Awesome setup and does seem to run really smooth. Dont think I could get used to those kinds of monitors though

Out of curiosity about how much extra performance does the 4th card add?

@svthomas,

When you get your 2nd 680 for SLI, could you test Crysis 2 and Metro 2033 @ single 1080p monitor, with vsync enabled at 60hz? Absolute max settings please with DX11/Hi-Res textures. I don't even know if you have those games lol, but I'll ask anyway. I get fluctuations and small FPS drops with my 7970s that make it a bit annoying. It stays at 60fps 90% of the time. It drops down to 58-60 randomly when nothing is going on sometimes and causes a bit stutter and jerkiness. Happens in these both games. I just wonder if 680SLI provides smoother gameplay.

And be honest too =D. I know some people like to cover it up because they just got their new setup and just say it's perfect when there are SLIGHT issues.

card 1 runs @ 1228
card 2 runs @ 1248
card 3 runs @ 1229

cpu 4.7ghz
