khemist - that's a top notch card. Enter that result in the battle royale for us. thumb.gif

Fiddling with my card I was able to obtain a new high. I'm very happy with my card in the benchmark arena. Love it even more so in actual gaming where it's a beast. Highest maximum and minimum FPS I've ever had in all my games across the board!

I have to say benching the 680 isn't the greatest way to show how well the card is because my max Core clock Boost was 1224 Mhz. Where after BF3 multiplayer or any intense heavy gaming I see 1254 Mhz Core clock. If dynamic over clocking wasn't down clocking during the benchmark where it feels it's not needed and we could force the Core clock our cards would show it's 'true' potential.

Edited to add: CPU-Z Validation

It would be nice if there was a way to lock the boost clock in all 3d. Although I don't have this issue like you. The boost I get in benches is the same in games. The card will downclock but at times when it isn't being loaded as much like the breaks in 3dmark. Nice graphics score btw.An extra 40ish on your core gave you 600 more points then me.

I'm with you though on benching these things. I really just need to stop because its making me feel my card is not performing well when its doing pretty good. My low in BF3 is 60 and it hardly sees that. The 580 would dip into the low 40's and you could definitely feel it when it did.

I still may try my luck with a different card though. Just a little leery to get rid of this one and then it take forever to find a second one. Its fairly easy to get one from newegg. I just need the damn day off to do it lol.

Ugh I need to get un-lazy and buy my copy of 3D mark advanced... I got a pretty beastly OC and water-cooling coming. The sig OC is without voltage tweaking.

Actually after you made a mention on buying new 2133 RAM that increased your bench score I checked my BIOS. Found the RAM was on 'auto' instead of a forced 1682 Mhz. I adjusted that and my 9617 score went to 10060. Which I verified as stable through BF3 multiplayer for the last hour. thumb.gif

There is so much more to benching that one learns as we go when your a noob to it. I don't normally bench because it means little other than a gauge to some degree. I base how well my card is where it counts most, in games.

BF3 has been fun in multiplayer maxed out completely. I'm going through Crysis 2 campaign again for fun in 3D Vision next week and instead of playing on settings turned down I'm going in Ultra mode. thumb.gif Crysis 3 is coming out soon and I'm stoked. smile.gif

can you please delete the earlier entry I put into the form? I did one in the afternoon forgetting to put in the GPU-Z validation, and the link to my rig, so I re-entered everything just now. Thanks

Do you play 3d vision much? I have a 3d tv and I tried a few games like black ops and avatar. Couldn't really get into it though. Nice score btw!
