Well you don't know me....after 3DFX ALL my cards have been ATI. I switched just last January 2010 to GTX 580 and it's been a night and day difference. I did it at first for superior 3D Vision which I have but learned there's soooo much more that comes along with Nvidia, It's now my preference.

Since I was speaking in the 680 Club thread I didn't expect to be trolled and be called a fan boi. When I read the 7970 club I use etiquite and I refrain from calling them fan boi's even if they're dead wrong about Nvidia comments.

Sounds like you're an ATI Fanboi as you would put it. I personally own a 7970 and 680, I use the 680 the most due to a personally bad experience with my currently owned 7970 and previous Gigabyte Windforce 7970 (Saints Row FPS being the major). Glad the 7970 got a price drop, but from my own experience (read: other people have different luck with cards) the 680 series has ease of use on its side.

Glad this generations finally get some price war rolling, more fun for the consumer. biggrin.gif

lol i'm not fan boy as i have own 2 gtx 570's before i got my 7970's and to tell you truth i hated them they ran hot and the drives kept crashing and recovering causing my screen to blackout even when i was just surfing the web i tried uninstalling and reinstalling same results so i had to deal with it....so you see i had a bad experience with nvidia none so far with 7970's other than some bsod with 12.2 drivers with got fix with 12.3. i'm not a fanboi i just rooting for the underdog amd/ati thumb.gif

Well my preference dosen't make me a fan boy. I've looked into the 7970 twice already. Once when putting together my 3D Vision rig and the other just recently building a second Ivy rig I'm almost done with - minus Ivy Bridge CPU.

Don't think it's right of you to come to a club thread where 680 owners prefer Nvidia and call them fan boys. Learn some etiquette. I didn't knock the card down, I just said the $30 less price wasn't worth it for me to make a switch which is true to my preference for my needs.
