Another thing too is you'd have to Step-Up to two 690s or just Step-Up one card. You can't trade two cards for one I believe. It doesn't work like EVGA Bucks.

I am happy with that.

When I game, I usually set it so that they boost to about 1200 - 1215, just so I can run lower fan speeds. But honestly, they are fast enough with only boosting to 1170 in SLI, in my opinion. Sometimes I just run them with a 1170(ish) boost. smile.gif

I just thought I would ask. Finding the max overclock is the most exciting thing, at least for me, when I get a new card. biggrin.gif

So Thomas how does the crossfire compared to SLI? Any driver issues? How about the multiple monitors? I'm seeing that other SLI owners are getting 70-80% scaling.

For single monitor users, this again just like the 580s, are driver free of any problems. Going on 15 months straight without any issues for me. thumb.gif

You can't step up to dual GPUs? But they're an "upgrade" just like every other step up. That's dumb. Well, non-reference it is thumb.gif

I found out last year when I tried to upgrade my 580 to a 590 and was denied step up. I was within the 90 day release. I was pretty bummed because I bought it under the same assumption. In hind sight I'm glad it didn't happen. I never did SLI.

Well congratulations on your new purchase and a new member on OCN! thumb.gif feels good don't it?

That feeling is contagious and can become habit-forming as you'll find out on OCN soon enough. You'll start selling blood to make money for new parts. wink.gif

As far as i can tell they deserved it. all the millions of man hours gone into creating something like this i say hell yeah. I support technology...haha

I saw someone mention in the GTX 680 OC fundamentals or w/e thread that you can (?) adjust the Offsets WHILE running Unigine? Is this true? Is it safe to do? Or should you close unigine and then adjust it?
